- A Merry Christmas, Uncle! God save you!

- I am mortal still. I cannot pass through air.
- My Hand.
- Scrooge's Nephew Fred enters the office with a "Merry Christmas" to his uncle Scrooge. Scrooge does not want anything to do with Christmas cheer at all.
- Scene 4
- My dear, to Mr.Scrooge. I give you Mr. Scrooge, the founder of the feast.
- The founder of the feast indeed!
- Scrooge walks to his room with Sparsit and the cook waiting for her Christmas Coin. Scrooge ignores the request and continues to walk to his room with Sparsit mumbling.
- Scene 5
- There are thieves in my rooms!
- The first spirit appears 'The Ghost of Christmas Past". Scrooge and the spirit soon walk together to see the past of Scrooge's old life.
- Scene 6
- Scrooge and the second spirit listen to the words pouring out of Bob Cratchit's mouth by the fire. Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit cheer for the founder of their feast which is Scrooge.
- Scrooge watches the cook and the charwomen steal Scrooge's things. Scrooge tries to reclaim his belongings but they do not notice his presence.
- Scrooge arrives at his nephew's house with a "Merry Christmas and a God bless you" to all of the people around.
