- The Theory of Special Relativity illustrates how space and time are correlatedto objects that travel in a straightline at a consistent speed. Perhaps one of the most popularelements includes objects that travel at the speed of light.

- Merely stated, the mass becomesinfinite as an object reaches the speed of light and it is unable to move much furtherthan lightmoves. When people seem to think about how to travel through large distances, this interstellar speed limit has been a topic of much debate in physics including in science fiction.

- In 1905, Albert Einsteinfounded the theory of relativity, and it appears to be part of the foundations of modern physics. Einstein spent over a decade debating what else would happen if one applied acceleration after completing his work in special relativity. This provided the basis, published in 1915, of his general relativity.
