- Cops : Alright both of y'all, after all the investigation and witness statements, y'all are the suspects. So do y'all still not accept y'all did this ?Suspects : Nope, not at all. We have nothing to do with any of the crimes.
- Cop : Okay, so here's the thing. If you confess you were involved in the crime we'll reduce your sentence and your partner will have to spend more time in prison. Now you make the choice by being smart about it.
- Cop 1 : Hmmm, what do you think we should do to get them to say the truth ???Cop 2 : I think we should abuse the prisoner's dilemma and question them in separate rooms to get the truth out of them.
- Outcome 2 : (White T) denies, (Red T) confesses. (Red T) has to only spend 1 year in prison while (White T) spends 10 years in prison.
- Outcome 1 : Both of them still deny and only have to spend 2 years each in prison. This is the best outcome possible with them trusting each other.
- Outcome 3 : (Red T) denies, (White T) confesses. (White T) has to only spend 1 year in prison while (Red T) spends 10 years in prison.
- Outcome 4 : Both of them confess their parts in crime and now have to spend 5 years each in prison. This is the worst outcome possible with them trusting each other.
