  • Scene 4: Setting: English class group projectCharacters: Noah, Sophie, Mrs. DanielsIn order for the students to all make friends and meet new people, Mrs. Daniels assignes a group project. She pairs people up by desk, which forces Noah and Sophie to work together. They start working in class, where Noah is extremely quiet and doesn't want to work with Sophie. He is worried about Adam and how he's doing, and can't focus on the assignment.

  • Scene 5:Setting: Sophie's hourseCharacters: Sophie and NoahBecause Noah was so uncooperative at school, they have to finish the project outside of school. Sophie sensed that Noah was going through something and acted very empathetic towards him, offering for them to finish the work at her house that night. He agreed, and went to work on it that night. In this scene, Noah finally opens up about Adam and his worries, and Sophie listens to him, giving him advice about change and telling him that it'll get better. This is where Noah really makes his first new friend at school, which changes his perspective. Here, Noah also redeiscoveres his love for writing, which Mrs. Daniels had been talking about.

  • Scene 6:Setting: StageCharacters: noah, Mrs. DanielsAfter reading the writing project Noah had done with Sophie, Mrs. Daniels convinces him to write a poem about his struggles for the school's mic night. He eventually agrees to do it, seeing how much it had helped him, and goes up on stage to give his speech.
