- I will have Mercury Join me
- I have grown tired of Ambrosia and Nectar.I will go down to earth to find out how hospitable the people of Phrygia
- Going to hundred and all treating them the same other but then one small,lonesome hut did give them hospitality
- Jupiter and Mercury had taken the forms of poor wayfarers wandering through the land at each lowly hut and great house but not one single house would give them refugee and care.
- Jupiter and Mercury had found themselves people who finally were kind enough to allow them to enter these two were a couple named She is Baucis and He is Philemon
- “We are poor folk,”
- Go on eat and have this to drink
- “but poverty isn’t so bad when you’re willing to own up to it, and a contented spirit is a great help, too.”

- As Baucis and Philemon treated Jupiter and Mercury with Hospitality and Care they decided to reveal themselves and curse everybody who didn't take them in and granted Baucis and Philemon 3 wishes
- “Let us be your priests, guarding this temple for you—and oh, since we have lived so long together, let neither of us ever have to live alone. Grant that we may die together.”
- Very well
- Baucis and Philemon were priest at this temple for a very long time until they grew old and as they wished to be together forever they became two connected tree signifying there love and kind as they showed Jupiter they would show to everybody forever
