Horatio, Marcellus, and Barnardo enter and Hamlet greets them. The three have entered to notify Hamlet that Horatio claims to have seen the Ghost depicting King Hamlet.
To Follow or Not To Follow

Horatio, Marcellus, and Bernardo continue their conversation with Hamlet. Hamlet is confirming that the three will be on watch tonight and to make sure that they are armed in case the ghost returns.
Who Did It?
Horatio, Marcellus, ad Bernardo exit leaving Hamlet alone. Hamlet gives a small speech because we feel that his father's ghost is roaming. Hamlet just wants to get to the bottom of his fathers murder so who best to talk to then the ghost of his father.
I Have A Plan.
Late in scene 4, Horatio and Marcellus return but then the ghost suddenly appears. The ghost beckons for Hamlet to leave with it so they can talk in private but Horation and Marcellus hold him off. After some struggles, Hamlet leaves the scene with the ghost.
It waves me still.—Go on, I’ll follow thee.
In this scene, the ghost reveals to Hamlet that his father's death was caused by the new king. Hamlet cannot believe that his Uncle Claudius killed his brother.
O, my prophetic soul! My uncle!
Hamlet has decided to formulate a plan that will prove Claudius is the killer, yielding revenge. Hamlet's plan is to put on a crazy act so Claudius does not suspect his spying.
