- This scene explains how the "masters"and owners of slaves had more power over them because of how far down slaves are on the hierarchy.

- 2. I am a slave owner and I own a large cotton farm.
- This scene explains how people got rich during the cotton gin and that many poor farmers couldn't afford nice houses.

- 1. The South use these water ways all the time to transfer a bunch of goods and cotton.
- This scene explains how the water ways made it a lot easier to transport goods and cotton through the cities and states.
- 2. It sure makes it a lot easier and cheaper for them to use the water ways than having to transport the cotton and goods themselves. Except we have to do it!
- Dang those Northerners. Why do they not support slavery?!Northerners will have to have all their farming done by them!
- I know right! Ever since that anti-slave part started the Northerners have been so annoying. But good the the fugitive slave act passed. Now the government can at least arrest run-away slaves.
- This scene explains how the North doesn't support slavery and yet the South still does so there is a political opinion behind them
