I fought for the Canadian Army at the start of WW2
I posed as a local farmer to repair a severed communications wire in full view of my enemy troops. I became one of Canada's most decorated Indigenous soldiers.
Hello there, Im Sergeant Tommy Prince !
I was born 25 October 1915 in Petersfield MB and died 25 November 1977 in Winnipeg, MB
Battled during 1940–1945 1950–1954
I enlisted for training around the age 24 then just decided this was what I was going to do and continued till I died.
Wow, what an inspiration!
Look its the Tommy Prince, I heard he fought in WW2 and the Korean war
Ive been said to be one of Canada's most-decorated Indigenous war veterans, because Ive been awarded 11 medals in the Second World War and the Korean War.
Yea he was considered hero during those times
I reached the rank of sergeant by the end of war, and was one of three Canadians to get both the Silver Star (U.S.) and the Military Medal.
When did you first join the army
Hey there young man, what in this world inspired you to fight for the country
At first I was a memeber of the royal canadian engineers as a sapper then got accepted into the army June 3, 1940.
Courage and utter disregard for personal safety were an inspiration to me and all my friends and family.
