- A homeless man is sitting on the street and asking for food. A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead
- I am so hungry. I haven´t eaten in 2 days.
- What should I wear to the dinner party tonight?
- A man in a suit walks by and grumbles at the homeless man.A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
- I am so hungry. I haven´t eaten in 2 days.
- Oh no, you must be starving. I will get you some food and make sure you are doing okay.
- A mother with her child comes by. The child points her finger at the homeless man, which embarrasses the mother. She quickly pulls the child away by the arm and does nothing. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
- Here is some food for you. If you need something else, just let me know .
- An elegantly dressed woman walks past the homeless man and doesn't even notice him. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
- An elderly lady on a walking stick comes by and sympathizes with the hungry homeless man. She offers to get food for him, although she cannot walk well. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.
- The elderly lady brings food to the hungry homeless man and even offershim more help. For her, charity is a matter of course. The next day he took out the denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said, ‘Take care of him. When I come back I’ll reimburse you for whatever extra you spend.’The good Samaritan (Luke 10:29-37)
