- One thing that's great about renting a home is that it has cheaper upfront costs, meaning that you won't have to pay as many fees such as down payments that you would when buying a home. Instead you'd only pay things like 1 month rent, an application fee, and a security deposit.
- It's been 2 years of living in this rental home, and even though love it, it has its complications.
- A disadvantage about renting is that the rent can change. Last year my rent was 4%, but now its 9%! This makes it unpredictable.
- Also, you don't have to pay for repairs! The roof was leaking, and my landlord took care of it! It makes it a lot less stressful as I know he has my back.
- Another major con for me was that the owner of this house didn't like pets, so I had to leave my dog at my parents house :(.
