- Ever since Barnum was younger he wanted to create a circus. But his dreams were way too far away as he & his family were poor and was a worker for a rich family. In that rich family was a girl named charity. They both became friends the more they meet each other. As they grow up, they fall in love. Charity’s parents don’t want her to be with Barnum but charity ends up being with him anyway. All though they don’t have much they are still happy together. A few years go by & they end up having a baby.
- Climax: Never Enough
- in the song it says "Come alive, Come alive, Go and ride your light."  Barnum is trying to make his dream come true & ends up finding people for his show. He wants his unique actors to be comfortable with who they are. The audience doesn't know what to think about when they first came on stage. but as they started to dance more and sing they enjoyed the performance.
- Falling Action: From now on
- “Hide away, they say 'Cause we don't want your broken parts.”The actors are being shoved away from the stop light. Because of a person named jenny, who is much more famous than them, that Barnum put on his show. Plus people don’t really like them. The actors are sad about this and start singing about how they were always ashamed of who they are & just because of their looks that, doesn't mean that they don't have a place. In the song it says “But I won't let them break me down to dust.” I think that’s a pretty good point for that message. Barnum used to be treated badly too but he doesn't acknowledge his past anymore. After this they leave Barnum due to the fact that he already has another famous actress.
- Resolution:  The Greatest Show
- As Barnum’s business grows he gets more money especially with jenny Lind as his singer. He’s blinded by the amount of fame he get’s & he wants more. “Towers of gold are still too little.” so he chases for more. Barnum has no care about the circus anymore. Barnum is also hanging out with jenny lind a lot more & they both start liking each other. A conflict starts between the actors and the audience because the audience talked trash about them. The actors got mad about it & someone burns down the circus they were in. Barnum goes home to find out that the circus is burnt down & Phillip is Injured from trying to save Anne even though she was out by then. Charity than finds out about the kiss Barnum did and leaves him.

- Lesson of this story is Don’t let spotlight blind you from people you care about. In the song it says “For years and years, I chased their cheers, The crazy speed of always needing more,But when I stop, And see you here, I remember who all this was for.”  Barnum hurted his family & actors because of Fame. He finds his actors & is now sorry for what he has done. He is now going to try and fix his relationship as he goes and meets up with his family again. Charity forgives him for what he has done and they are both happy now. After that they start building the circus again.
- When they are done making the circus they perform in it. while performing Barnum leaves to be with his family while phillip takes the show.The circus is how phillip Carlyle and Anne Wheeler started falling in love.  It was all Barnum ever wanted as it was his dream as a child to have a circus. it brought all the outcast together as they all started to become friends and even considered themselves as family. That's the reason why it's important.The END
