- Mary and Martha sent a messenger to Jesus.
- “Lord, he whom you love is ill. Lazarus is very sick.”

- “ This illness does not lead to death. The Son of God will be glorified through this.”
- “I will stay 2 more days here so that they may have faith.”
- “ Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”
- “Let us go to Judea again. Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him.”
- “Lazarus is dead, and I am glad I have waited so that you may believe!”
- Jesus arrived in Bethany 4 days after Lazarus’s death and Martha came to him.
- “Martha, your brother will rise again. I am the resurrection and the life.”
- ”Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.”
- Mary heard from Martha that Jesus was there, so she methim. Jesus was deeply moved. Jesus wept.
- “Show me where you have layed him.”
- “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
- “See how he loved him!”
- “Take away the stone. Lazarus, come out!”
- “Unbind him, let him go.”
