- Hermann, this isn't working. Luftwaffle was a good plan at first, but its taking way to long. We need to approach this differently.
- Bob, i'm worried. According to German spies we've caught, were in trouble. Look at what is says over there.
- German bombers are going to fly over london and drop thousands of bombs
- OMG! WHAT SHOULD WE DO? ARE WE GOING TO DIE?!
- great!
- Sir! The bombs are ready and were nearly over london.
- The year is 1940. Adolf Hitler and reischsmarschall Hermann Goring are discussing what plan of action to take against Britain, as their previous plan to attack air forces wasn't working quite as swiftly as Hitler had hoped.
- Meanwhile, back in Britain, officials had their own suspicions.
- The Germans flew over London...
- It was a disaster
- Winston was right. September 7th, 1940 was the fist air raid. The attack started in the East End before moving to central London leaving more than 430 dead and more than 1600 people badly injured.
- The bombs continued for days and days on end. An estimated 30,000 tonnes of bombs were dropped overall and more than 40,000 people killed. The bombings continued for 11 consecutive weeks.
