Always asking students questions to learn from them.
I am more hands on.

I am more of a visual learner.
Take initiative to know each student as a unique individual who brings varied backgrounds, strengths, needs, and perspectives to learning.
Why/How the standard is significant in our practice?
After asking my students questions to get to know them better, I have made changes to my teaching methods to help them succeed in my class!
It means taking the time to get to know all of my students and making a conscious effort to understand their differences to accommodate them all accordingly.
How would I strive towards this specific standard?

This could look like just simply asking your students questions to try to learn from them to better teach them.
It is important and significant in our classroom because getting to know each student will allow them to feel more comfortable and perform better academically.
