- First, Cesar Chavez was living a happy life until he was 10 years old.He lived with his brother, sisters and cousins.
- Soon after he turned 10, the trees in his ranch began to wither. The sun made the soil in the ranch very hard, so they couldn't plant the crops. They had no other choice but to move to another place.
- Next Cesar had move to the green valleys of California to look for work. Now Cesar had to travel around California to pick whatever fruits and vegetables that were ready to be picked. He didn't enjoy it but he knew it was the only way to earn money for his family. Even though they earned so little.
- Later Cesar realized that landowners treated their workers more like farm tools than humans. The Landowners didn't provide them clean drinking water and they were not allowed to go to the bathroom!
- Then Cesar decided to travel to California again. This time his goal was to make people join the fight. At first not much people agreed. But as time went on, he had meetings and more people joined him.
- Finally as more people joined, Cesar decided that it was time to rebel. After some arguing and some traveling, they did it!! They succeed and farmworkers won't be powerless again.
