Storyboard Text

  • Over the last few months, Yesly's grandmother has been complaining of back pain. She's been taking a break from her daily walks, in hopes that her back pain lessens. Unfortunately, it has only gotten worse. However, Yesly's grandmother has stopped exercising all together, only getting up for food and to use the restroom. Yesly noticedthis and decided to put a stop to the cycle.
  • Hi Nana! Do you want to go on a walk with me? The weather is super nice! I was also hoping we could go on walks EVERY evening, so that we can talk about our days!
  • I would love to, honey, but this backache is killing me! I don't think I'll be able to...
  • Yesly decided to put her foot down when her grandmother could not get off the couch to use the restroom without Yesly's assistance! Yesly voiced her observations regarding her Nana's back pain and her recent sedentary lifestyle. She explained to her grandmother that she thinks that her back pain could be getting worse because of her lack of movement. Yesly voicing her concern about her grandmother made her Nana realize that maybe Yesly's observations could be correct! She agreed to go on a walk with Yesly, and told her that she would try to make sure that she started going on daily walks again!
  • I'm really getting worried about your back, Nana! I've noticed that you've been saying the pain is getting worse over the last few months, and I think it's because you started leading a sedentary lifestyle! I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, I'm just really worried!
  • Of course!
  • Oh my goodness! I didn't even think that they could be related! I think you're right about the link between my back pain and my lack of movement! We can go on that walk now, if you're still up to it.
  • For the first few minutes, Yesly's Nana had to hold on to her for support, but the more she kept walking, Yesly realized that she didn't need her help! They started talking about their day, Yesly talking about the exciting things happening at her school, and her grandmother talking about a new show that she's been watching! After a while, Yesly's Nana realized that her back wasn't bothering her as much! Once they got home, they made dinner together, and said that they would go on a walk through the park every day after Yesly comes home from school!
