William Pitt and New Taxes
Storyboard Description
Cell 1: William Pitt (in the yellow) begged/asked other countries for a loan without King Charles II knowing. He asked for the money because, they will buy more and advanced weapons in order to win the French and Indian War. Some countries agreed, but treated to start another war if the money wasn't returned.
Cell 2: King Charles II found out and was furious. He mainly cared about his money, and when he found out how much money he had to give up, this crushed him. William Pitt then came up with a brilliant idea, the colonists had to pay taxes.
Cell 3: William Pitt then announced the news to everyone in the 13 colonies. The colonists were not happy about the new law, some even started riots.

- We are losing in this horrible war. Would you please give us a loan so we can buy more weapons? If you do, I'll give you more land.
- I suppose, but you better pay me back.
- I have a brilliant idea! We can tax the colonists so they pay for our loan.
- We are going to lose all of our money. How are we supposed to pay all of them back?
- He can't do that!
- This is so unfair and not right.
- The King ordered every colonist to pay taxes in order to live in a free environment.
- WHAT?
