- Little Rock Nine
- An act by the Supreme Court that would ban schooling segregation. It ruled that lack of equal right of education was unconstitution and thus banned.
- Freedom Riders
- An act of protest where black people would refuse to give up their bus seat. Started with Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat for a white person. She would be arrested and cause a spark in racial indifference.
- For the first time ever, a group of 9 black individuals would enter a white only school. These individuals would suffer and face much physical and verbally oppression just because of the color of their skin.
- They were CORE members on a bus trip that would test the Supreme Court decision banning segregated seating on interstate bus routes. Their goal was to provoke a violent reaction that would convince President Kennedy to enforce the law.They taught America the real meaning of raw courage since they were risking their ow life to fight against injustice.
