  • little rock nine ( september 2nd 1952)
  • Brown v. Board of Education was the cause that ruled the separation of children in schools.They said and ruled the case a violation of the 14th amendment
  • Civil Rights Act of 1964
  • Montgomery's boycott was a big moment in history. This moment was when Alabama had citizens refusing to ride the bus in their city because of the segregation laws including the ones on the bus.This protest was for about a yea and ended with the supreme court making segregation on public buses unconsitutional
  • This event consisted of a group of 9 African American highschool kids who wanted to integrate Central hIgh school. Eisenhower placed the Arkansas National guard under federal control. The students all then procecded to be watched
  • In 1964, Congress passed Public Law 88-352 (78 Stat. 241). The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Provisions of this civil rights act forbade discrimination on the basis of sex, as well as, race in hiring, promoting, and firing
