54 Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and God. He shared his faith by yelling at the top of his lungs. Men rushes to him and dragged him out of the city and began stoning him. Meanwhile, witnesses laid at the feet of the man named Saul.
Saul was a persecutor. He was travelling to Damascus, with his army to capture Christians to take them back to Jerusalem as prisoners. He wanted to get rid of anyone who though Jesus was the chosen one.
Suddenly, a beam of light shone down and Jesusappeared in front of Saul. Jesus said "Saul, why are you persecuting my Christians?"
Jesus left, leaving Saul blind. His soldiers had to guide him back to Damascus as he was unable to lead.
Saul was blind for 3 days and went without food and water. Later a disciple named Ananias visited him. He placed his hands over Saul and cured him from his blindness. Saul was then baptised and changed his name to Paul.
Paul had regained strength and began preaching the Word of God and spreading the Good news about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
