  • In the book marigolds the main character Lizabeth lives with her mom dad and brother in a run down town with nothing but dirt in the great depression. The main conflict is the poverty Lizabeth and her family goes through and her internal conflict of growing up and responsibilites.
  • Climax
  • The first rising action is when Lizabeth hears her mom and dad arguing late at night about money and how they are struggling to make ends meat. Which makes her upset and realizes the situation her and her family are in.
  • Falling action
  • The second rising action is when Lizabeth is filled with emotion and for some reason ends up going to miss Lottie's garden and starts ripping apart her marigolds for no reason.
  • Resolution
  • The Climax is when Miss Lottie walks out side and she's Lizabeth tearing up her marigolds. Miss Lottie has no expression on her face as she lost everything she protecting and living for.
  • Lizabeth realizes what she had just done and how much the marigolds meant to miss Lottie and soo much regret in her body. That regret would stay with her all the up until she is a grown women reflecting back on this event
  • To this day Lizabeth still thinks about how that single day changed her life soo much and made her have to mature and grow up soo quick and still has regret to this day about it.
