  • I actually know a little bit about it. Would you like me to explain?
  • You know, yesterday I dreamed about feudalism and I tough it was really intresting. I would like to know more about it!
  • Yeah! For sure
  • To begin, feudalism was the social stratification in europe during the middle ages. Each level had different roles and these levels where assigned; according to your rank in society
  • exactly!
  • And in what was it useful? Maintining an order and making sure everyone was doing something?
  • To start, is really important to have clear the difference between lords and vassals.
  • I actually have heard about it.Lordsare the ones who had power over someoneelse in the system, while Vassals are anybody who has a boss.
  • I'm really happy you learned! See you next time !
  • So, what do you think about it?
  • I learned a lot! I also found some advantages and disadvantages about it. Some advantages are It eliminated the tyranny of the kings, brought peace to the society,, display of chivalry and reduce slavery.
  • and disadvantages such as discouraged formation of states, created a class system, abscence of unity in Europe and abscence of peace.
  • The next level was nobels. They were people that were close to the king. This work because the king would give land to the noblesand they would administrate it. But it wasn't free, they would have to pay taxes (gold and food; The nobles would divide the land further into manors
  • The last level were the peasants. Peasants were the farmers of the middle ages. They worked on the manors for the knights Because they farmed in their lands the peasants would paytaxes and food to the knight. The knights would then make sure that the peasants were protected from any danger.
