- Tsunamis can travel 20-30 miles per hour, can cause flooding and disrupt transportation,etc
- what happens if you're under a tsunami warning?
- Protect yourself from an earthquake- Drop, Cover, then Hold On. Listen to emergency information and alerts, get to high ground as far inland as possible
- I know how can prepare by creating a family emergency communication plan that has an out-of-state contact and sign up for community's warning systems
- How you survive during is to leave immediately if you are told so, if you are in a boat then face the direction of the waves and held out of the sea; if you are in water then grab onto something that floats like a raft, door, and tree trunk
- To be safe after is listen to local alerts and authorities for information on areas to avoid and shelter locations, avoid wading in floodwater (could contain dangerous debris, and be aware of the risk of electrocution
- Also, you can document property damage with photographs and stay away from damaged buildings, etc. You use text messages to communicate with family and friends.
