  • GOODDAY, HON. MINISTER!!
  • Despite being originally called "MONKEYPOX," the source of the disease is not known. However, African rodents and non-human primates, like monkeys, may carry it and infect humans.

  • Panel 2
  • The Monkey Pox cases are increasing. Today we are on 200 Positive new cases.
  • And Yes, The Minister is with the Mayor now, we need to inform the public.
  • Until 2022, nearly all cases in people outside of Africa have linked to imported animals or with travel to other countries where the disease is common.

  • BREAKING NEWS!! A MONKEY POX VIRUS OUTBREAK
  • Fellow Citizens, we have seen an unprecedented rise in cases of Monkey Pox Virus.A Task Team has been established and in the next few days, vaccinations will be enrolled. Please keep safe.
  • Thank you, Mayor. We will continue updating the public on this news channel on the daily basis.
  • MPOX can spread in different ways. Before the 2022 outbreak, the most common method was by the direct contact with infected animals by way of a bite, scratch or feaces or by preparing/eating meat or using products from an infected animal. In the past, human-to-human transmission was rare.

  • Panel 4
  • According to the samples and data provided, 700 of the positive cases are in the East region.
  • And 100 from West, North and South.
  • So far, we have 1000 confirmed cases from the lab
  • Prevention steps and Strategies:1. Get vaccinated2. Lower your risk of MPOx during sex or at a social gathering3. Avoid close skin-to-skin contact with people who have a rash that looks like MPOX and animals that carry the Monkeypox virus4. Avoid contact with objects and materials that a person with MPOX has used.5. Wash your hands often

  • Me too Son, I feel funny as well. And since the Monkey Pox Virus cases has gone up, it possible that we could catch it.
  • Dad, Im really not feeling well and its been 2 weeks now. Ive got a terrible headache, sore throat, fatigue, fever, and back pain.
  • I think we should all go to the doctor and get tested for Monkey POX, The Minister on the news advised us to do.
  • Monkey POX can be diagnosed based on a patient's history and a physical exam. ANYONE who suspects they might have the virus should contact their health care provider. The virus can be confirmed with a PCR test that is available at specialized labs.

  • We need to inform the public about these increasing numbers, interventions and start enrolling vaccination.
  • 2000 POSITIVE CASES
  • Thank you Mayor and Minister for visiting. As you can see on the display board behind us, the cases have gone up to 2000 cases.
  • Those who are sick with MPOX should isolate at home. For those with an active rash or other symptoms, stay in a room or area separate from family and pets when possible.

  • Dear citizens of Springville, It has been my Honour serving you and glad to publicly announce that the, Monkey POX Virus Vaccine is on its way.
  • Two Vaccinations licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are available for preventing MPOX.1. Jynneos is a two-dose vaccine (separated by four weeks), which is up to 85% effective in preventing MPOX after two doses and is recommended for those who are at increased risk of exposure to MPOX in the past two weeks;2. ACAM200, IS A MODERN ITERATION OF AN OLD SMALLPOX VACCINE.

  • 2000 POSITIVE CASES
  • With 200 confirmed new cases in Springville, we need precise data to manage this outbreak. A Quantitative approach particularly cross-sectional study design will be ideal for collecting more data and identify risk factors.
  • This approach will allow us to assess the prevalence of the virus across various demographics like groups and socioeconomic status. We must ensure our survey is structured to get essential variables such as risk factors and preventive behaviour.

  • Panel 9
  • YES, but my religion doesn't allow for vaccination!!
  • Vaccinated? Me? My cousins husbands aunt was killed by their last one!!
  • Google says it takes 10 years to develop a vaccine.. So how did the government make theirs in 6 months? Something is fishy!!
  • Did You hear about that new vaccine?
  • But we need to get vaccinated or risk spreading the disease!!
  • So bored all my friends are sick!!
  • Slide: 11
  • Panel 10
  • We understand the concerns about vaccines safety, but our data shows vaccinated individuals have significantly lowered rate of severe symptoms
  • This is just the beginning. We need to continue research using different methods to evaluate the long-term effects and efficacy of interventions.
  • After proper interventions by the health department, mayor, community and other stakeholders, the monkeypox virus results drastically declined in numbers. Through education, both on Vaccines and Monkeypox, trust was gained by the community, and many decided to vaccinate. The community at large followed proper procedures that will help in fighting the spread of the virus.
