- 3. No mam, it is not a problem, it just means that you won't be able to be in the room while the X-ray is being taken, but for now you and Adam can follow me to the X-ray room.
- 1.Good day mam, my name is Zoe and I am a first year radiography student and today I will be taking an abdomen X-ray of Adam. Quick question mam are you perhaps pregnant?
- 2. Adam, honey could you get onto the bed for mommy so the nice lady can take a quick picture of your stomach.
- 3. No mommy I'm scared, I don't want to.
- 1.Mam, could you ask Adam to climb onto the bed for me please.
- 2. Adam look at me honey, you are my brave boy so can you be that brave boy for mommy today . We need to do this so that doctor can figure out what's wrong and fix that tummy ache for you honey.
- 1.Mommy please I want to go home, mommy please
- 4. Ok, mommy.
- 3. Adam I promise I will be really quick and you won't feel any pain, I am just going to take a quick picture of your stomach and then you can go home with your mommy again.
- 1.Ok mam, I'm going to need you to leave the room now while I prepare Adam for the X-ray.
- 3. Don't be scared my baby, mommy will be right back, now be a nice boy for the lady.
- 2. No, mommy please don't leave me .
- 3. Adam, if you do as I ask and you are a sweet boy, I'll get you a nice lollipop.
- 1. Ok, Adam. I'm going to need you to put yours arms on the sides of your body and lay as still possible for me please.
- 5. Thank you, Adam. I'm going to go stand behind that wall now and i am going to ask you to breathe nicely in and out for me.
- 2. No , I want my mommy.
- 4. Fine, but only for my lollipop.
- Take a nice deep breath in for me and breathe out. (EXPOSE). Ok Adam we are all done.
