that lottery is about to begin gather around in the square
Everyone started to gather in the town square, school was out and the students started to flee out of school while they were walking out they filled their pockets with rocks for the ritual that was about to begin. Next thing you know Mr. Summers started to announce that the lottery will being soon and started to explain the rules but everyone was only half listing because they have done this before many times.

Mr.Summers finally finished explaining the rules and what is going to happen and it was time to start this thing. One by one he slowly started to call each man up to draw a slip of paper from the box. Everyone got their paper and it was time for Mr. Hutchinson to pick one. He grabbed a slip and waited until they were aloud to open it.Everyone opened theirs and when Mr. Hutchinson opedned his there was a blck dot.

Mrs.Hutchinson lost her mind the only words coming out of her mouth was that's not fair and you didn't give him enough time. Everyone was just staring at her and nobody agreed with her they all probably thought that she was out of her mind and that she was only saying this was because it was he family at risk.But that didn't matter they did not redrawn they just carried on. Their whole family all picked a slip of paper to see who was going to be the one sacrificed.
