In 1821 25 of December Clara Barton a shy but brave and positive girl was born. Every morning she would go chop wood, milk cows and even help sick animals. She experienced being a docter/vet even though she was a child.
Clara's brother fell off the barn roof! Some docter given up because it took so long and didn't heal but clara didn't give up. With her positive attitude her brother had a full recovery.
Clara Barton was caring. She was a teacher but saw kids that had no money to learn so she opened a free school. But no one thought a women was suitible to be a leader so she quit her job. But the same thing happened because she was a women she got kicked out of her job.
Clara barton helped in the civil war handing people water, food, mediecine and even healing enjured or sick soldiers. They called her The angel of the battelfield. Once she handed a soldier who fell for no reason. The second she handed the water he died. She saw a scratch thought her shirt he was trying to protect her.
After the civil war she helped with the red cross. Hand food and water even the president cheered for her. But white people thought it wasn't fair they thought only they should be treated fairly black people should work for people.
When Clara Barton got older she 1897 published autobiography the story of my childhood. After she wrote the book she thought would get her strengh back and work again but it didn't happen. Because she died of pneumonia. Clara Barton should be remebered because of her bravery to stand for fairness.
