- The Magna Carta was a document that guaranteed important rights to the people and limted the kings power. It was signed by King John of England. The Magna Carta led to the revolution because it set a basic foundation that people could add to.

- The Navigation Acts were a sequence of laws that controlled English trade between other countries. It led to the revolution because Great Britain did not allow British colonies to trade with foriegn ships, which was unfair.

- The Englightenment is also know as the Age of Reason. It was an intellectual movement that stressed reason. The Englightenment was significant to the Revolution because it led to the want for a new system of government and equality for the people.

- The English Bill of Rights were a set of basic civil rights with the purpose to protect them. It led to the revolution mainly because the American colonists did not agreee with the British government.
- The Sugar Act is also known as the American Revenue Act. It was passed by the British Parliament and was the first tax on the American colonies. The Sugar Act led to the revolution because the Americans started to think that they were only be used only for their money.

- The Stamp Act was a direct tax on the British colonies in America. It required many materials to be on stamped paper, to show proof that you paid. It led to the revolution because the colonists believed that they should not be taxed unless they have representation.
