- Ponyboy gets jumped by Socs and his gang comes to save him. They chase away the Socs. Two-Bit, Johnny, Steve, Dally, Sodapop, Ponyboy, and Darry are from left to right. Darry was angry at Ponyboy and caused huge problems in the story.
- Climax
- When the Socs decided to jump Johnny and Ponyboy, Bob the Soc was killed by Johnny who was frightened and scared of getting beaten up again. As Ponyboy almost drowned. The reason they were jumped was since Darry slapped Ponyboy. Then Ponyboy ran away.
- Falling Action
- When the church went on fire Johnny and Ponyboy ran into the burning church to save some kids, but then Johnny got hurt as Dally got his forearms burned badly by the fire.
- Resolution
- Afterward when Darry and Sodapop got to the hospital. That was when Ponyboy finally found out that Darry actually cares about him and was worried that Ponyboy could have died. That made them finally get together and be happy. They were finally able to find something to know they cared about each other.
- Soon after Darry and Ponyboy got back together, the Greasers and Socs had a huge fight and the Greasers won, but that still had a substantial difference between rich and poor. Then after the battle, Ponyboy and Dally went to the hospital and saw Johnny die. Sad Dally ran away.
- After Johnny died Dally decided to do something then the police killed him. Then after that Ponyboy collapsed. After he woke up there was an important trial about Bob the Socs' death. Afterward Ponyboy decided to write the story of what had happened for his essay in English Class.
