- Thou must not worry. They are to weak to bear a challenge,
- Mercutio we must go. Night is coming upon us and there are Capulets here.
- Thou see the ratcheted and mendacious Romeo
- Thou draw your sword. We must end this feud.
- Hello Tybalt, there is no need for violence.
- As night dawns upon them, Benvolio begins to fear and tells Mercutio they should leave. He hints towards the idea of Capulets coming for confrontation.
- Thou must stop this unnecessary violence. The Prince has forbidden such behavior.
- Tybalt enters and asks about Romeo's whereabouts. Mercutio is willing to fight Tybalt instead and instigates him with degrading jokes.
- He stabbed me.
- You two must stop this violence now.
- Tybalt sees Romeo enter the scene and asks him to duel. Romeo refuses because he is trying to come to peace with the Capulets.
- He has pierced my underarm. Romeo it is over.
- Mercutio, the wound is not serious. Hold on.
- Since Romeo did not want to duel Tybalt and instead wants peace; Mercutio takes his place and offers to fight.
- Romeo tries to come between the two; however, Tybalt takes this opportunity while Mercutio is pre-occupied, to stab him.
- Seeing that Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo goes after him and kills him. Knowing he will most likely be executed, Romeo runs away.
