Selfish King Tantalus
Storyboard Text
- A long time ago, there was a king named Tantalus. Everyone in the kingdom thought he was the greatest, including his wife and kids. But really, he only cared about himself. He thought his wife and son were stupid, and he thought he was the smartest. Smarter than the gods.

- King Tantalus knew the one thing the gods would never do, and that was eat human flesh. So, he killed his son and cooked him into stew. If the gods were all-knowing, they wouldn't eat the stew. If they did, he'd blackmail them into giving him everything he wanted. If they didn't do it, he would tell the kingdom the gods killed his son and made him into a stew. Soon, the gods came for dinner and knew what Tantalus did. They brought back his son and made him more handsome and stronger than before.
- The gods punished him after that. They planted him next to an apple tree and making sure his legs didn't move. Whenever he got hungry and tried to reach for an apple, the tree would move away from him. His son became a good leader though, and cared for the people in his kingdom.
