Workers worked in terrible conditon and rarely got breaks in their 14 hour work day. They were also very low paid. Children worked the same hours and still paid 1 shilling a week. Men usually made around 5 shillings and same work time. They worked in dirty places where disease was spread.

Urbanization is when countries shift from rural or farm economys to city or factory economies. Great Britian was the first country to make this change and a lot of companies later followed. This was good for the economy and good for the people who owned factories since they hired a lot.
It was hard to move class structure for poor people because they needed money for school. The only way most of them could change class structure is education. They didn't have the time or the money so they usually just settled for their terrible factory job.
