- PSA MISSLE CRISIS IN CUBA
- The U2 spy planes were used to, well spy. They were flying over Cuba and took Images of the ICBMs being moved into Cuba. This Started The Cuban Missle Crisis, and became one of the first major events in The Cold War.

- After JFK was informed, he met with multiple people. He met with his advisors and militaries leaders. They eventually made up the idea of going on public tv.
- JFK and Nikita make a deal

- After JFK met with his advisors, he went on national TV talking about the crisis that was happening in Cuba. This TV speech has gone down in history as one of the first instances of a US president being open with inter-national affairs. He announces the Naval Blockade, and other plans associated with their solution of the crisis.

- Kennedy decided to place a naval blockade around Cuba. The aim of this "quarantine," as he called it, was to prevent the Soviets from bringing in more military supplies. He demanded the removal of the missiles already there and the destruction of the sites.

- After twelve stress-filled days, the thirteenth day of the Cuban Missile crisis brought a deal between JFK and Nikita Khrushchev. The world was saved from nuclear war.

- On August 30, 1963, John F. Kennedy becomes the first U.S. president to have a direct phone line to the Kremlin in Moscow. The “hotline” was designed to facilitate communication between the president and Soviet premier.
