- Prince Zuko
- Character TraitsHe is temperamental at times and very conflicted. Once you get to know him he can be loyal and trustworthy.
- Character BackgroundAs a child his mother was banished and he never saw her again. He never knew why. Because of his mothers banishment he was treated very poorly by his father which caused him to be the way he is. At 13 his father burned his face and banished him for speaking out of turn during a war meeting. He could only return if he found the Avatar.
- Relationship with other charactersHe is the nephew of Iroh, the son of Fire Lord Ozia, brother of Azula, boyfriend of Mai, and friend to Aang, Katara, Toph, and Sokka
- Avatar Aang
- Character TraitsAang is very funny, fun, loyal, kind, caring, both immature and mature, and very courageous
- BackgroundAt only 12 years old the young air nomad found out he was the Avatar. Soon after finding out he started his training and disliked it because he wasn´t allowed to do anything. He ended up running away one night and trapped himself in a iceberg for 100 years. His people ended up getting attacked by the fire nation. He is the last airbender.
- Relationship with other charactersHe is the friend of Sokka, Zuko, Toph, and Katara who eventually becomes his wife
- Katara
- BackgroundAs a child her water tribe village was attacked by the fire nation. Her mother was killed by them during that raid. Her father ended up going to fight in the war against the fire nation and was raised by her grandmother. She discover that she is a water bender. Her and her brother Sokka end up discovering Aang in a iceberg.
- Relationship with other charactersShe is the younger sister of Sokka, friend to Toph, Zuko, and Aand who eventually becomes her husband
- Character TraitsShe is very mother like and very protective over her the people she loves. She is also very loyal and determined.
- Zuko is one of the best examples of character development in this series. At the beginning of the show he is very angry, rude, and determined to get the Avatar to ¨regain his honor¨ and go home. Over the course of the show he realizes what the fire nation has really done and that he needs to bring peace back to the nation. He also discovers that he doesn´t need his honor.

- Character TraitsHe is very funny, fun, a leader, a fighter, loyal, and very determined
- BackgroundHe has the same background as his sister Katara, except he isn´t a waterbender
- Relationship with other characters He is the older brother of Katara, boyfriend of Suki, and friend of Aang, Zuko, and Toph
