Sadly, a nearby city conquered ours. But luckily, trade is now much easier and safer, making it easier to get goods from other locations.
There is a good and bad side to being in a kingdom. Like she said, trade is now easier. However, we have to pay tribute to the king to show that we adopted his authority.

Recently we have had a problem with a nearby river flooding into our lands. This was a big threat to us, so we couldn't stop it on our own. Our elder then came up with a plan.
What we did was that we visited the two communities that were living nearby. They were dealing with the same problem, so we decided to work together to stop the flood. Now we are all part of a village together.

Recently people have been trading a lot more with other villages, so many people have been coming in and out of our village and trading things.
Many people came to trade, but there were also groups of people who decided to live here. This made our towns more populated.
Also, we have been starting to get really skilled at iron working. Now we can make tools out of iron instead of wood. This made us a lot more efficient. Now our villages have been growing a lot.
