Hi Tara, sorry I had to disconnect abruptly. So, please tell me if you checked for the complete quorum in the EC approval letter..
Yesss..1,2,3. . . . .7. there are 7 members listed Zoya. And we just require 5 as per GCP, so in fact, there are more members in the quorum than required.
Correct-0! We need a minimum of 5 people to meet quorum, however, they should each represent different categories as per Indian regulations.
Hmm.Ok, we have scientific and non-scientific both. We also have the member secretary and chairperson, what else?
That's good and yes required too. Can you please check for the the 'QUORUM' i.e. the 5 representations, i.e. Lay person, Legal Expert, Social Scientist-or-Social worker-or theologian, Clinician and a BMS i.e. aBasic MedicalScientist like apharmacologist etc...got it?
Yes, the 1st 4 are confirmed, but tell me, whom should I consider as a BMS....?!I can see an MD Pathology in the list, but I don't see any pharmacologist???
MD pathology can also be considered as a Basic Medical Scientist.....Ok wait, ill call you after my monitoring. Meanwhile, please go through Chapter 3, Section VII of NDCT 2019. It has details about EC composition/Quorum
