This is the start of Ecological succession. This is primary succession when a lichen grows on a tree and is the first to start life in the part of the ecosystem. Lichens are also known as a pioneer species because the are the first to start life in an area.
This is still primary succession, but now it is further in the process of primary succession. Pioneer species can grow on many things such as soil and rocks.
It's not winter anymore, and the forest is now undergoing secondary succession, and there are more animals joining the habitat
The forest is getting really close to the climax. It is still in secondary succession but not far from climax. There are also many grass blades and bushes inhabiting the area making the place more biodiverse.
This is an example of a climax community. This is where most of the trees have gone from small trees to tall trees, and they are making the biodiversity higher because they are big microhabitats.
This is an example of a homeostasis. Homeostasis is where the biome is at a perfect balance. All the biotic and abiotic factors are working as one to make the biome have a higher biodiversity making it have a higher sustainability. One of the things that makes achieving homeostasis hard is the fact that there have to be a perfect amount of consumers, producers, populations, communities, and organisms in general. Also things like weathering and erosion can happen.
