The Magna Carta was the first Constitution written for Europe that was signed by King John in 1215. It was created because of the actions of King John. The Magna Carta created rules on taxing and changed what power the monarchy had.

The Salutary Neglect was where the Parliament had no laws or taxing on the Colonies. This allowed the colonies to do whatever they wanted. The colonies were able to develop on their own.
English Bill of Rights- 1689
The Navigation Act restricted the English ships on where they traded, who they traded with, and what they traded. This act allowed England to have certain goods that the colonies couldn't, so the colonies couldn't trade.
Sugar Act- 1764
The Enlightenment was the era where people started thinking and creating ideas and having more knowledge. The Enlightenment helped witht he development of the society such as solutions to problems, shaping the government, and benefiting the people.

The English Bill of Rights was an act the Parliament passed to prevent a powerful central government. This act allowed the monarch to have power but the power was limited by the laws, gave people rights, and the Parliament had a say in the governing.

The Sugar Act created a tax on sugar and other goods for the colonist. This act allowed the increase of money the British would get which would be used to pay off war debt because they were in the war to protect the colonist so they should be taxed.
