After months of staying in Austria, I was finally adapted to living without my parents, not having to wear my hijab, and just basic freedom. I did miss them so incredibly much but I knew that they sent me here for a reason.
I do miss my parents and friends but, I'm loving my new life in Austria. The amount of things I'm learning here about my culture is amazing
Little did I know, that the next day would be my last. I was returning back home. Part of me wanted to sprint to the airport as fast as I could so I could hug my parents and never let go of them. But another part of me wanted to stay here and learn and be free.

Marji I just got a call from your mom's friend, she told me that you were going to the airport! How exciting!
When we got to the airport my moms friend, Lucia, had explained the whole thing to me. My parents bought me a ticket back because the war was basically over. Unfortunately, this meant still wearing a hijab and following strict rule which I don't like.
While I was waiting for my plane I wondered, what my home country would look like. How much people had changed? And for some reason I was scared to find out these answers.
