- Charlotte was the odd ball out from the day she was born, because she was born with a head of bleach blond hair with little streaks of color throughout it. At that very point Hades did not like her because she got did not look like him at all.
- As soon as they got home from the god hospital Hades took an entire box of black hair dye and he dyed her hair black so no one would know that she had blond hair. Though he dyed it several times you can still see the streaks of color throughout. That made Hades furious, and just because she looked different he neglected her.
- She was the only child out of her whole family who did not have a power pertaining to death or anything, and at that moment she realized she wasn’t related to Hades at all. After the baquate when her and her mom were on the way home she asks her mom who her real dad is she says that Hephaestus was her father and ever since he heard that you were his child he has wanted to come see you but you know Hades will kill him if he is ever able to get ahold of him. When they got home there was a boy around Charlotte's age in their house, and Minthe was there too. That is when Hades tells them that this is his son and he is coming to live with them. His name was Acheron.
- Acheron was the son of Hades and Minthe his power was to make anything gloomy,or dark with just a little tap. Hades introduced him to Charlotte so that if he touched her her hair would turn black without any streaks of color in it, and her bubbly personality would fade away. So she would lose all of the traits she got from Hephaestus, her real father.
- When Acheron touched her it did not drain all of the powers she got from Hephaestus, it just made her powers stronger. And it made all of that dye that Hades used disappear.
- This is when Charlotte confronted Acheron and told him he should be himself not who his father wants him to be.
