  • Hi, my name is Ella! This is my project on why animal testing should be banned.
  • Animals such as cows, pigs, sheeps, owls, dogs, cats, rabbits/bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, and mice/rats are being tested on daily.
  • Between 17 to 22 million animals are used in research, education, and testing every year.
  • Humans test on animals because whenever something new come out, like a surgical technique, a drug, cosmetics and more, people find it wrong to test it on humans first.
  • The U.S first started testing on animals in 1938.
  • These test being used on animals can lead to scaring, blinding, injuring the animals and even death.
  • Dogs are also being used to test human shampoo and body wash, but the scientist aren't careful and get the washes in the dogs eyes witch leads to blinding.
  • Scientist are forcing rats and mice to inhale toxic fumes, force-feeding dogs pesticides, applying chemicals into rabbits eyes .
  • Animal test are also supper unreliable. They have shown aspin to be dangerous, and penicillin to be deadly
  • Those results are not true. In fact, 90% of medications approved for humans after a animal trial later proved to be ineffective or harmful to humans
  • Brands such as Axe, Clorox, Crest, Colgate, Febreze, Glade, Gucci, MAC, Neutrogena, and so many others test on animals or are owned by parent companies that test on animals.
  • Brands that are cruelty free are, Burts Bees, CoverGirl, Elf, EOS, and others are safe to use.
  • Instead of testing on animals scientist can test on human cells, and tissues, advanced computer-modeling techniques and human volunteers.
  • There is so many ways to help out our furry friends and I hope this educated you at least a little.
  • We can educate others about this problem, and we can also make donations to organizations that are trying to ban animal testing.
  • What can we do to help stop animal testing? The first step is to stop buying from brands that test on animals.
