Washingtons army settled at valley forge in 1777. This settlement was served as a winter headcorters for the army. Most of the men there struglled but there was enough food and cloths to get bye the winter. in 1778 a man named Baron Fredrick inproved the base to have more better trained soilgers and a better base layout for the men

George Washington's Quarters
Washington lived in a stone millhouse during his time in valley forge. it wasent very big but it had enough room for him to sleep and plan his war out.the original owner of this house was isaac potts but the he gave the quarters to washington. this was one of the nicer houses compared to the ones that were built for the soilgers

Soldiers Quarters
many of the soldiers that lived at valley forge lived in a standered log house. the huts did not have alot of space and were really cold at time. sence everything was so compact lots of men died from disease.lots of the houses were somtimes not built as well and needed lots of repair

Problems Faced by the Soldiers #1
many of the soldiers suffered from lack of food at the camp and lack of clothing. there was shortages for everything,the shortage for food was so bad they had to eat flower and water as a meal everyday.they lived in small cramed huts.

also many of the soldiers would fight eachother over food and clothing.disease spread through tha army and killed thosands. sence they were all close toghther the disease spread faster. they have lost many battles which overall brought down moral.
