  • Zeus was very disappointed at mankind that they weren't really friendly with many of the gods, and decided that he wouldn't give them an important tool in order to survive: fire.
  • Slide: 2
  • One god, Prometheus, felt sorry for his human friends, and in order for them to survive; Prometheus stole a lighting bolt from Zeus and gave it to mankind. That's when they discovered fire.
  • Slide: 3
  • Zeus was furious for what happened. He then chained Prometheus to a rock as punishment for stealing the lighting bolt, and also for going behind his back in order to help the humans
  • Slide: 4
  • To make Prometheus suffer more, Zeus sent storms to beat angry waves against Prometheus, helplessly chained against the rock. Zeus made the sun shine so bright that it started to burn Prometheus' skin.
  • Slide: 5
  • Eventually Zeus sent an eagle to start biting, and picking at Prometheus' body. It was a big punishment especially to a god that just wanted to help mankind, but what made Zeus so furious is that Prometheus defied him just to help the humans.
  • Slide: 6
  • Hercules finally released Prometheus from the chains, nearly a thousand years had passed. Not a lot of time for a immortal god, but a thousand years is a lot for mankind. But now Zeus found humans entertaining, and no longer cared if anyone saved Prometheus or not.
