Here we are. What you see now is a nice, preserved forest.
It's so thick and jungly!
What can we do to help? We're only kids!
But here is a deforested forest. See the trees over there, they are good. But there are only stumps here.
It's so... empty!
It's so sad!
Humans have been destroying forests for years. The Amazon Rainforest has damage that cannot be reserved. But if everyone does their small part to help, and if everyone does something, there will be a big impact on deforestation - a good impact. The trees cannot grow back on their own - plant a little tree in your backyard and already you've helped and taken a small step in the right direction. Rainforests and forests house thousands of plant and animal species that need forests to survive. It's exactly the same as destroying our nice townhouses and apartments to make space for what - cattle farming land? If the roles were reversed, think about how you would feel if 2400 of our houses were cut down each minute - because that's the amount of trees getting cut down per minute.
