This is the Susan Power's mother's bright red coat. It belongs in the exhibit because it shows that her mom is modern and doesn't live in the past like the statues or mannequins in the museum. Many things including this coat show that Native American people are still proud, confident, and alive not like the stereotypes that say that Native people were old news.

This item in our exhibit it a wolf. This wolf is in our exhibit because it symbolizes how determined she is when she protests against the statue of a Native American about to kill a white person and when took a job in Chicago to help her family during the war. This reminds the readers that not only white people can be determined and hard working but also Native Americans.

This is Susan Powers Grandmother dress. it is in the museum because it shows her culture even in a big city. This dress reminds her and the readers of her real culture and it shows that you can still have the same religion and culture even if you are in a big city or far away from your cultures reservation.
