Storyboard Text
- Stella has a strange effect on Jude, "When Jude stepped outside, she imagined bumping into her. Stella pausing on the sidewalk, admiring a purse through a shop window" (Bennett 236). All Jude can think about is Stella and she somewhat want to know how she is, as a person. Jude is effected in a way that she feels robbed of having a relationship with her aunt.

- The people of the town dislike the walters, “Three days later, someone threw a brick through the Walkers’ living-room window…Days later, another brick sailed through the living-room window" (Bennett 225). Some unnamed person kept harassing the Walkers by throwing bricks threw their window. This shows the disliking of the Walkers, and they dislike them because they're Black.
- Kennedy's character is shown when Kennedy is playing with the dark skinned girls, “She spotted her daughter playing dolls in the cul-de-sac with the Walker girl…she’d stormed across the street and grabbed her daughter's arm, both girls gaping as she dragged Kennedy back into the house” (Bennett 185). Stella's character shown when she grabs Kennedy to get her away from the girls. Showing the arrogant and selfish side of Stella.
