- Diane is 28 yrs. old who lives in Owak, Asturias, Cebu. She is the oldest of her four siblings. Her family don't have much money, her father is a carpenter and her mother is a housewife.
- She is a tourism graduate in Cebu Normal University. she had a work at a hotel somewhere in Buanoy, Balamban, but her salary wasn;t enough to satisfy the needs of her family, especially that she's the one supporting the tuition of her college sister.
- That's why she decided to apply and work abroad, specifically, Japan. She believed that going abroad will give her family a comfortable living, assuring them financial stability; due to this important reason, she didn't hesitate to flew even though it's hard for her to be a couple miles away from her family.
- Her job in Japan is the same as what she does in Philippines. The only difference is that her work there offers great salary that can certainly change the life of her family.
- Despite of the great income she gain, Japan really shocked her in terms of their culture, tradition, their language and some other things that Filipinos cannot relate. The fact that she's a newbie abroad, it is really indeed hard for her to adjust in the new environment.
- Aside from culture shock, her biggest problem would be having no one taking care of her when she's sick.
