The Magna Carta was a royal written document that of rights issued by King John of England. This document provided the idea behind freedom and liberties held by men. Magna Carta was significant to the American Revolution because the British were not following the freedom to all men stated in the document. The charter was put in place so that the king and its subject had to follow the same laws. Navigation Act (October 9th, 1651)
The Enlightenment was known as the Age of Reason'. This was a movement throughout Europe that inspired intellectual and cultural ideas and discoveries. This period of time was when people started to question science and religion to find reason behind things. The Enlightenment had a significant impart on the American Revolution, because it inspired the ideas of freedom, since people began to put crititcal thinking and began the acception of ideas.
English Bill of Rights (1689)
The Parliament has ultimate power, no one is above the government! This Bill of Rights will set the basic human rights allowed and set out laws that need to be followed by everyone and granted to everyone.
Salutary Neglect was an unwritten policy that allowed merchants in Colonial American to break the shipping laws. This policy was made from British officals, because it would benefit British merchants. Later on, the British tried to reverse the policy but it led to violence and choas. The Salutary Neglect had a significant impact on the American Revolution, because once choas resulted throughout the country, the British government was not enforcing the laws, so the colonies began to govern themselves.
Sugar Act (March 22, 1764)

The Navigation Act was a series of British laws that set regulations for English ships, shipping, and trade between countries and the colonies. The Navigation Act was a derect economic cause of the American Revolution. It caused resentment within the colonies, because it had ab impact on the livelihood of merchants and people felt unpresented.

The English Bill of Rights was a document that protected the rights of Britishmen. It set out laws, basic civil rights, and gave ultimate powet to the Parliament. The English Bill of Rights was significant to the American Revolution, because it inspired the U.S. Bill of Rights and encouraged a form of government that protected individual rights of people. The English Bill of Rights also overthrew King John and brought the new monarchs of England, which were the ones to accept the Declation of Independence.

The Sugar Act set taxes on imported products and strictlly regulated trade to end the smuggling trade of sugar from French and Dutch West Indies. The Sugar Act was a direct cause of the American Revolution, because it began a discussion on how the colonies were taxed, but not represented.
