- Amy's Valley of Humiliation
- Jo Meet Apollyon
- Meg Goes to Vanity Fair
- Amy had brought some limes to school, even though it was against the rules. One of her enemies in her class told the teacher about her stash, and she was humiliated in front of the entire class.
- The P.C and P.O
- Amy is angry that she never gets to go to fancy dinners or balls, but Jo does, even though Jo doesn't like going to them, and she is much more lady-like. In retaliation to this, she burns Jo's manuscript.
- Experiments
- Meg was invited to Vanity Fair by her rich friends the Moffats. Her sisters give her all of their finest things to wear. While there she hangs out with friends, goes to parties, and goes to plays.
- Camp Laurence
- The girls are having a vote on whether Laurie should join their club. Meg and Amy are initially against it, but Jo and Beth persuade them to let him join.
- The girls all stop doing work and their chores as an experiment, as Marmee thinks they will get bored and tired without any work. They soon do, and then Marmee shows them the lesson of work.
- Meg receives her missing glove in the mail, along with a translated German song from Mr Brookes, Laurie's tutor. Laurie has also invited them for a picnic in which many people were invited, and Mr Brookes and Meg ended up having a long and meaningful conversation.
