- i don't know, she was a stray when i had found her, i had not taken her to the vet yet.
- Not recently no, a few months ago she was bit by a raccoon in our backyard, but its been awhile so i assumed that she was okay because she wasn't reacting.
- Has she been vaccinated for rabies?
- Hello Mr. Grant, what brings you in today? I hear that princess has been acting aggressive? has she recently been around any wild animals?
- Mr. Grant says the raccoon was not being aggressive though kept stretching the front of its body and would randomly have spirts of aggression prior to the bite.
- I'm sorry to inform you that princess may have rabies, normally it takes a at least 5 weeks before any signs of rabies is present. Rabies is not curable, the most we can do is isolate her for 10 days and see what happens, if she has rabies sadly she wont survive the week
- Hmmm... she seems to be getting worse. its the 5th day in and everyday shes been getting more and more aggressive and sick, she keeps lunging at things, all i want to do is help.

- i'm so sorry for your loss, i wish there was more i could do for you, unfortunately princess did have rabies, this is why we always vaccinate for rabies and are proactive with these issues. Because princess had rabies you will need to get treated as well for your well being.
- Rabies is an incurable disease in pets that should always be taken seriously, if you see a pet get bit by any wild animal you should always immediately call your vet as well as always stay up to date on your rabies vaccines.
